When this unit intakes water it will oxidize the iron then remove it from the raw water and backwashes itself to clean the unit out every 2-3 days depending on how much iron you may have coming in.

The clean stream filters chemicals and byproducts of Municipal City Water that can be present. Chlorine is found in water to kill off bacteria but has some effects on the body such as itchy skin, unhealthy scalp while using no treatment on city water, Drinking Water taste different and can accelerate the aging process in some cases depending on how bad the water is treated using byproducts.

Water Softener Re-Bed and Clean-Out

A water softener re-bed is usually a service that is done mostly after an average of 7 Years of service. But depends on water quality and in some cases it may need to be changed earlier to keep your softener efficient and healthy.

We provide the same service for our iron filters to change out the media, clean off the valve and tank.

Common questions customers may have

  • With city or municipal water being filtered from a plant the treatment process may miss key contaminants found in your water. A clean stream or a water softener is strongly recommended to secure clean water free from anything in the water in between the water plant and home.

  • Our water softeners do a great job filtering water that comes through the house but for finer and tasteless water a R.O is a must. Great for refrigerators, Coffee makers, drinking water and saves you from the cost of bottled water!

  • Most likely needed for customers on a well system that has iron present. Depending of severity of iron some can go with our filter housings and change filters every month or use the Oxy 1.0-2.0 iron pro unit that oxidizes iron and backwashes down the drain to stay out of the home.

  • If you notice a smell to your water that could mean many things. First if you have municipal water and have a smell check your hot water heater that could be a sign of a bad anode rod. Second option would be if its well water then that could be a sign of sulfur contamination and would need some serious attention. Left untreated could lead to health issues. Our unit takes away the smell and uses hydrogen peroxide to sanitize the incoming water into a storage tank so any water used is clean and sanitary.
